The Orang Utan House was opened in 1992. It is a private studio and art gallery that belongs to a local artist named Charles Cham. This gallery features the painters’ drawings and also sells souvenir items such as T-shirts.

The Maritime Museum is located nearbyThe Stadhuys. It was a replica of the Portuguese ship called Flor de la Mar which sunk in the middle of the ocean on the way to Portugal while carrying the loots they rob from Melaka empire.

 The museum features a submarine named FS Ouessant Agosta 7. This vessel was originally belonged to the French Navy before it was purchased by the Malaysian government. It was officially given to the Malacca state government to be a museum.
