Taman Negara Bird Count

Taman Negara Bird Count is an exciting and educational conservation programme where the participants spot and count the various bird species that inhabit Malaysia’s premier National Park. Taman Negara is home to over 479 species of birds and it has has the highest concentration of birds in the country.

The event is organised by BirdGroup Taman Negara (BGTN). It is now held annually since it started in 2014. The event is held for two days. The participants will be divided into groups and each group will be led by a licensed Nature Guide. They will have the opportunity to explore various species of birds in Taman Negara and their findings will be sent to the e-Bird International portal. If they are lucky, the participants may even meet new bird species.
