Pie Tee is a thin and crispy pastry tart shell kuih filled with a spicy, sweet mixture of thinly sliced vegetables and prawns. It is a popular Peranakan dish in Melaka.
The shells are made of flour and it is very crispy. The main filling for pai tee areshredded Chinese turnips and carrots. However, some put roasted onion and crushed peanuts to enhance its taste.
Pai Tee can be eaten on its own or dipped with the sweet chili sauce.
