Taming Sari Tower

Taming Sari Tower is the first gyro tower in Malaysia. It was opened in 2008. For those who do not know, the gyro tower is a tower that has an observation platform that spins 360 ° from the ground up vertically. The duration of going up and down takes seven minutes per session.

This tower’s height is 110 meters. The observation platform can accommodate 66 people at a time. The visitors will be able to enjoy the views of St. Hill Paul, Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka River and Melaka Straits from above. The maximum height for the platform is 80 meters.

The Taming Sari Tower got the name from the keris belonged to a legendary Malay warrior named Hang Tuah. Some believe that the keris is a mythical weapon with a mystical power.

The tower’s structure and design also resemble the shape of a dagger, with the top of the tower resembling its head.
