Firefly Valley Leisure Park
Firefly Valley Leisure Park is located on the Kota Tinggi River Bank. It is situated in heart of palm tree estate. It provides the visitors the opportunity to watch fireflies in their habitat. Fireflies are not a common sight in the cities and their population has quickly diminished due to development.
The first noticeable landmark inside the park is a wooden bridge. The bridge connects to the farm that is located in a small island called Love Island surrounded by water on all sides. The farms hosts rabbits, goats, turkeys, ducks, chickens, turtle, iguana and some unique birds. The visitors can feed and touch the animals at the farm.
There is a waterwheel as the visitors cross the bridge. The canal also has a small lovely wooden jetty and a boat tied to it on one side.
The Firefly area is beyond the playground on the riverbank. At night, the visitors will be led to the dock and briefed with safety precaution and the rules such as putting on the life jacket, do not take a picture, be quiet and do not do any activity that would disturb the fireflies during the boat ride. The visitors can experience watching the trees lighted up by the blinking lights from the fireflies along the river bank.
The dining area is located beside the river that offers a peaceful environment and memorable lunch. There was also a playground for children to play.
