Pasir Gudang Kite Festival
Pasir Gudang Kite Festival is a popular event in Johor. The event was first hosted in 1995, and continued to be held annually since then.
Pasir Gudang Museum is renowned worldwide as the Best Kite Festival Organizer. The event attracts visitors and kiting enthusiasts from all over the world. To date, over 180 international kite flyers from 44 countries came to Pasir Gudang to join the kite festival.
The festival is usually filled with domestic and international kite related contests, demonstrations, spectacular ground displays and kite exhibitions.
The opening ceremony begins with a parade of the local and international participants. The event is usually officiated by Sultan of Johor. Besides the kite related activities, there will be a number of stalls selling various goods, collectibles, snacks and food.

Where to go?
The event takes place every year at the open park called Bukit Layang-Layang located beside the Pasir Gudang Kite Museum.
Time
The event is held for five days. It is usually held between the month of February and March. It starts at 8.30 a.m and ends at 11.30 p.m
Entrance fee
There is no entrance fee for visitors. However, the participants will have to pay a registration fee if they want to take part in the competition.
