Telur Pindang

Telur pindang is one of the most popular dishes in Johor. The ingredients to make telur pindang usually include shallot skins, tamarind, fennel, coriander, soy sauce, and various leaves such as guava leaves or mangosteen leaves mixed together with water to give the dish a unique flavor. The eggs then are soaked and boiled inside the water.

Telur pindang has a deep cultural heritage among Johorean. Since the preparation of telur pindang is complicated and time-consuming, the dish is mostly served during festivities or special occasion.
